Update: LEAF Downtown will return in 2024

The organizers know how to present a great shindig since they have hosted the big LEAF Festival twice a year in Black Mountain for more than 20 years. Their belief is that music and art have the power to cross all social and cultural boundaries and bring people together to learn, grow, and celebrate our diversity through creativity. The day will be dedicated to local youth, family, and community. Enjoy cultural youth performances, dance classes, roaming artists, bounce houses, youth competition finalists, and activities like renting kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes. There is no admission charge, though a donation of $10 is suggested.

Hours: Saturday 11 AM-8 PM

Enjoy plenty of local vendors including food, drinks, handicrafts, healing arts, and more. They'll also have the LEAF Art Dash 5k on Saturday at the River Arts Greenway at 8:30 AM  (register online).

Bring your blanket or chair and plenty of sunscreen. However, LEAF encourages biking and walking to the event. This event has a suggested donation of $10, but children are admitted free.

Directions: The event will offer shuttles from Carrier Park parking lot. The Outpost is located along the French Broad River next to Carrier Park. For GPS, use 521 Amboy Road. Allow extra time to find parking, and be prepared to walk to the venue since parking is limited. LEAF encourages biking and walking to the event.
