Hatley Pointe Mountain Resort
Hatley Pointe is a 54-acre boutique ski mountain and year-round resort near the town of Mars Hill in Madison County. Peaking at 4,700 feet, the resort relies on manmade snow yet is able to offer 16 runs, from beginner to expert, and a 700-foot vertical drop. The resort sells a limited number of daily lift tickets. This boutique approach aims to deliver smaller crowds and a personalized mountain experience. Lifts include a quad lift, a double lift, and two surface lifts to move skiers up the mountain efficiently. This was the same location as Wolf Laurel Ski Resort. The owners of Hatley Pointe invested in many upgrades to create a different ski and ride experience for guests.

The lodge includes a full-service restaurant and bar where you can warm up between runs, celebrate your day on the slopes, or dine even if you don't touch the snow. A cafe inside offers coffee, hot drinks, and grab-and-go options for quick fuel. Outside, the Peaks & Pies pizza truck serves hot, fresh pizza throughout the day. The resort is open 9 AM to 10 PM daily during ski season, with slopes running 9 AM to 4 PM and again 5:30 PM to 10 PM for night skiing. Snow-making operations depend on weather conditions.
