Your first stop should be to Asheville’s Dog Welcome Center (the first official in the United States!). It's located at The Dog Door on Battle Square in downtown Asheville. They have potty areas, water fountains, free goody bags and info on dog-friendly attractions in Asheville, restaurants, and things to do in the area.
