Pearson's Falls & Glen, a 300-acre botanical preserve and 90-foot waterfall tucked between Saluda, Tryon, and Columbus in Polk County, has launched Friends of the Falls. This membership program is for anyone who wants to support one of Western North Carolina's most cherished natural sanctuaries.

Currently closed to public access while restoration work continues, the Glen is privately maintained by the Tryon Garden Club. Unlike public parks funded by taxes, every trail cleared, every fragile ecosystem monitored, and every restoration effort depends on community support.

For $25 annually, member will receive quarterly newsletters with conservation updates and seasonal highlights, an exclusive decal, free first admission when the preserve reopens (plus 20% off future visits), and access to volunteer opportunities working alongside the preservation team in the old-growth forest.

While the Glen remains closed, members get exclusive behind-the-scenes updates on restoration progress of the preserve and the iconic waterfall that's drawn generations of visitors. Memberships are individual (no family plans currently available).

The preserve sits 38 miles from downtown Asheville along a scenic route. Visit the website for Pearson's Falls & Glen to learn more.
