Dorrance Dance, the internationally recognized New York-based company led by MacArthur Fellow Michelle Dorrance, brings tap to the Wortham stage. Praised by The Guardian as “tap’s current hot property,” the electrifying dancer-musicians blur the line between movement and music in a performance full of rhythm, athleticism, and innovation. The company has redefined contemporary tap by turning dancers into musicians in their own right. 

Performances run November 11–12, starting at 8 PM, at the Wortham Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Asheville. Tickets range from $25–$75 and are available at worthamarts.org or by calling the box office at 828-257-4530 x1.
