Asheville’s new AC Hotel will continue a history of hospitality at its downtown location. Built in 1912, the landmark Langren Hotel occupied the site at the corner of Broadway and College until the 1960. An ugly parking deck was demolished to accommodate this brand new building. The hotel is owned by McKibbon Hospitality that already has three Asheville hotels, Aloft, Courtyard and SpringHill Suites. They area also transforming the former BB&T skyscraper across the street into the Arras hotel and residences.
