Darnell Farms is a second-generation working farm along the Tuckasegee River in Bryson City. In the fall it becomes one of the most best stops in Swain County thanks to scenic views and seasonal activities. The corn maze runs Wednesdays through Sundays from September 12 through November 1.

The maze is the main event, but the full experience includes a one-mile scenic hayride to the pumpkin patch. There, you can pick any pumpkin straight from the field. The farm sits at 2300 Governors Island Road, just minutes from downtown Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad.
