Grandfather Mountain opened a new 1,300-square-foot hands-on science center in 2026. They invite children ages 5–12 to explore interactive exhibits on pollinators, climate, weather, and ecosystems. Features include glass animal habitats, a full-scale tree model, microscope station, and a drawing nook. Located next to the Wilson Center for Nature Discovery. Open daily 10 am–4 pm starting April 20. Included with park admission
