Since 1974, The Southern Applachian Highlands Conservancy have conserved over 70,000 acres of unique plant and animal habitat, clean water, farmland and scenic beauty of the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee Thier works ensures that our forests, streams, and farms are preserved for future generations. They also work with landowners to encourage conservation methods and foster healthy communities.
