Lake Lure will be reopening to the public Memorial Day 2026! This is after two years of restoration. The sandy beach has gorgeous mountain views, changing rooms, bathrooms, and nearby restaurants and stores. There is a reasonable admission fee for beach use. You'll also find outfitters with boat, kayak, and other rentals and tours. Area attractions and activities available include the Dittmer-Watts Nature Trails, Lake Lure Green Space, Pool Creek Picnic Park, Youngs Mountain, and Rumbling Bald Golf Courses.
