Spend a fall afternoon with friends, family, and the more than 60 rescued animals at Animal Haven of Asheville. Bring a vegan dish that serves at least eight people, plus a serving utensil and a list of ingredients. Vegan means no meat, dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, or other animal products. To cut down on waste, bring your own plate, utensils, and drink. The event is free.

A suggested donation of $10 per adult helps pay for the animals’ food, shelter, and medical care, and kids under 12 attend free. The thrift store will be open for shopping and donations. The potluck happens rain or shine. You can also bring unbleached pumpkins, melons, apples, or watermelon, and volunteers will share them with the animals.
