The Hickory Nut Gorge Olympiad is offers unfogettable race experiences and brings the community and visiting spectators together to celebrate. The theme for 2026 is Run for Recovery. The races are Slam the Dam 10K and Race to the Rock 5K (climb up to the top of Chimney Rock). There is also a Golf Tournament at Rumbling Bald Resort. Note: there are no triathlon and cycling events for 2026.
