Saluda lights up its streets for Hometown Christmas, a beloved local tradition held the second Friday of December, 6–8 PM. Stroll charming Main Street while sipping hot chocolate and enjoying fresh-baked cookies from local shops, listen to carolers, and browse late-night holiday shopping.

Musicians from Mountain Song perform holiday classics and contemporary carols at spots around town, including Main Street and the Visitor Center. Organized by the Saluda Business Association with support from the City of Saluda, the event reflects the town’s community spirit.

The night concludes with an ecumenical service at Saluda First Baptist Church on Henderson Street, starting at 8 PM. This year’s Hometown Christmas falls on Friday, December 11, 2026. Downtown Saluda, Polk County, NC.
