Step into an evening of lively community joy under the stars (or under the hall, depending on weather). Asheville Community Square Dance welcomes dancers of all experience levels—no partner, no worries—every First Saturday from September through May from 7-9:30 pm. Each dance features taught old-time square dances, waltzes, a cakewalk, lively flatfooting, and a friendly old-time jam. Haw Creek Commons is a lovely spot with picnic areas, a fire-pit, and great community vibes. Bring a snack or grab something from one of the local food trucks when available. Cheerful, welcoming, and perfect for families.
