Asheville Voted Top Beer City in America: "Beer City USA"

For four years (2009-2012), Asheville was voted "Beer City USA" by the website examiner.com with a national poll. The title attracted national attention to the growing craft brewing scene in western North Carolina. During that time, the number of craft beer breweries has grown. And several big craft beer companies decided to build a big brewery in our area: Oskar Blues Brewing in Brevard, Sierra Nevada in south Asheville and New Belgium in the River Arts District in West Asheville.

In May 2013, CNN named Asheville as one of the "8 Best Beer Towns" in the United States.
