Asheville Community Theatre

Asheville Community Theatre

For 70 years, the Asheville Community Theatre has been presenting musicals, comedies and dramas in downtown. In fact, they are one of the oldest community theatres in the country! Watch the "Mainstage" shows in the 400-seat theatre or a big variety of more adventurous productions in their 50-seat black box theatre called 35below.

Since there are dozens of restaurants within a few blocks, go downtown early for dinner before your show. Afterwards, grab a glass of wine, local beer or dessert. See our Top Restaurants.

Location: The street address is 35 East Walnut Street.

Parking: Since downtown is so popular, parking is sometimes a challenge. There's plenty of on street parking and the big Buncombe County Parking Garage is nearby at 164 College Street. Also, find parking next door in the Renaissance Hotel ($5/car that is given to the theatre) at 31 Woodfin Street. Enter the main hotel entrance and drive to parking area behind the hotel. To guarantee a spot, buy your pass when you buy your show ticket online!

Tickets are very affordable, generally running about $15-$25/person. Go to their Web site for more information. Buy tickets online here or call 828-254-1320.
