Let it Snow!

These photos were taken on December 18-21, 2009, with most of them at the beautiful settings of Asheville Bed and Breakfast inns. A big snow like this (15-20 inches) is very rare in Asheville. Many times, you will find deep snow at higher elevations when there is little or no snow in Asheville. Since the Parkway is closed during any winter weather, it is a great place to hike in the snow or cross country ski. See photos of a great winter hike on Roan Mountain and get winter hiking tips. See icy waterfalls!
