MAIN GALLERY

Jan. 12 – April 21: Odyssey Center for the Ceramic Arts
Odyssey was established in 1994 as an educational program of Highwater Clays, and has been an educational center member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild since 1995. Its mission then and now is to promote understanding, appreciation and professional development in the ceramic arts. The spirit and programs of Odyssey are based on the philosophy that every individual's creative capacity is greatly enhanced by a generous community and challenging instruction, believing that within each individual lies the potential for creative development. Since its beginning, Odyssey has grown to house one of the largest and most diverse circles of ceramic artists working under one roof in the Southeast. Many come to Odyssey to take classes, attend lectures, begin and add to collections, rent studio space, and become a part of a vibrant community of talented individuals who are bound together by clay.
