Aloft Hotel Downtown Asheville
At least 10 Asheville area artists have original art throughout the hotel, from public spaces to guest rooms.

The new Aloft Hotel in downtown Asheville has its grand opening in August 2012. It's located in the heart of the city on Biltmore Avenue, one block from Pack Square. This highly sociable, tech-savvy hotel is inspired by the celebrated cool of W Hotels, but with a lower nightly rate for guests. Aloft is an eclectic, limited service hotel with a sleek urban energy.

The hip hotel features 115 loft-style rooms (including four suites) with a contemporary feel, along with unique amenities, including the W xyz® bar and dining with an outdoor deck that overlooks Biltmore Avenue, Starbucks® coffee bar and breakfast, a third floor outdoor pool deck with cabanas and a bar that overlooks the surrounding mountains and a comprehensive art collection featuring local artists. Hotel dining will feature fresh products produced at local farms.

The hotel is a part of a mixed-use development, which will include a restaurant and several retail spaces fronting on Biltmore, as well as a new City of Asheville public parking garage. Aloft Hotel is a short walk from The Orange Peel.

Blackbird Restaurant
The Blackbird restaurant will bring hand-crafted Southern food to Aloft Hotel guests and visitors to downtown Asheville when the restaurant relocates to 51 Biltmore Avenue in September 2012. The Blackbird’s dynamic new location brings lunch and dinner dining opportunities to both hotel guests and visitors to downtown. The restaurant will also provide room service options to the Aloft Hotel, along with catering services for meetings and special events held in the hotel. The Blackbird has created an affordable and vibrant fresh menu that combines the best of Southern comfort foods and local farm products with cutting edge flair. They take great care in serving seasonal items from local farmers and micro-brewers, and will continue to offer both lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch menus, along with periodic special events featuring unique menu items.
